Location:  San Diego

Year Certified in Lagree:  2018

A new Lagree studio owner, Level 2 teacher, and obsessive dog mom, Carina absolutely loves the lifestyle Lagree Fitness has given her. Her passion for movement ignited while growing up as a young dancer in Upstate, NY. During her undergrad, dance soon sparked her devotion for fitness. From personal training, Pilates, Barre, and countless HIIT workouts, Carina always found her body craving Lagree.

After years of teaching for other studios and gyms, she always knew she would achieve her goal of someday owning a studio of her own. Located in San Diego, DEFINE came to life in August of 2022. Carina helps provide an exceptional training experience for all in the most challenging yet uplifting manner. She also enjoys training teachers to find their strength in and out of the studio.

Her favorite part of this method is the amount of trust and patience it requires both physically and mentally. Lagree is so special to Carina, and she is beyond thrilled to be teaching for Lagree on Demand.

DIFFICULTY LEVELS: EXPLANATION

BEGINNER
  • Workout is done on the front of the machine only.
  • Short sequences per body part.
  • Exercises are not held long (no more than 2 minutes per leg for example)
  • Progressions are short (one exercise + 1 variation only: For example, teach Elevator Lunge, followed by a Carriage Kick only, no pulse after).
  • Transition time is not optimized / slow transitions. Give them time to adapt.
INTERMEDIATE
  • Mix of front and back of the machines.
  • Exercises are held longer.
  • Longer sequences per body part.
  • Progressions are longer.
